To overcome his stammer, he sees Lionel Logue, and australian speech therapist. Throughout their lives they became very close friends and in the end his stammer was drastically reduced.

Afghan Star

When the Taliban took control of Afghanistan in 1996, they banned everything that did to express personality. Nothing is except-able in the Islamic religion, including music and dancing. Taliban was swept from power in 2001, Islamic militants still regard music as sinful and have targeted Afghan musicians in assassination plots. As soon as Afghan Star premiered it was a hit. Afghan Star was modeled after the American television show American Idol. This show was very risky, the director Havanah Marking was very courageous in making this movie he faced lots of obstacles including fear of the Tailban. In the end Rafi Naabzada won the competition and was made the Afghan Star.

Weeping Camel

A family of shepherds in the Gobi Desert- which is south of Mongolia- help a herd of camels give birth. One of the Camels had a really hard time giving birth and wouldn't have been able to give birth without the help of this family. When the camel gave birth to the calf she rejected it right away because it came out as a rare white calf. The sheepherders tried desperately to have the mother accept its newborn but it wouldn't in result the new calf had no milk to survive. The family of sheepherders is the calfs only chance at survival.

I now understand why this film is called the Weeping Camel. The mother camel didnt accept its calf at first but once the musician came and brought them together she started crying. This shows that animals- or at least camels- have emotions aswell. She felt bad for rejecting her baby for being different.
